MUSIC & SOUND DESIGN
Produced by Orillo Films ahead of the 2022 Cheltenham Festival, we were set the task of composing a bespoke track and creating the sound design for this ad for Tote Placepot.
The music brief was to take the viewer on a journey – from the misunderstood second place finisher to the excitingly positive way you can turn 2nd to a win. With Ocean’s Eleven thrown in as a reference we knew it needed a rolling bass-line, upbeat, Jazz influenced beat and some cinematic strings!
Sound design was kept to a minimum for this one, adding SFX to graphic moments, the atmospheres of the office and racetrack and a few diegetic actions to highlight key moments. VO’s were processed in a way to convey them coming from an FM radio and all tied together, we’re really pleased with the end result!

We’re proud to be part of 1% for the Planet, whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual revenue to environmental causes.
Our job involves a fair bit of overseas travel, and we wanted to use our membership to lessen our carbon footprint. Given this, we’ve chosen to donate to The Woodland Trust, who are tirelessly planting trees, bringing ancient woodlands back to life and protecting forests from decimation.
