As soon as we saw the first cut of this film, we knew it would be a good one! Bold Studios always make fantastic pieced of content and this film for the re-opening of Ireland’s sport sector post-covid is no exception.
With some musical references which incorporated vocal chants, we knew this was an element that we wanted to create for the soundtrack. Having scoured sample libraries, we fell upon a good starting point and went about recording about 12 additional layers of vocals to build up a fake choir.
After much back and forth on the drum elements, these developed from a ‘heartbeat’ style kick drum that sat back into the music, to a large and reverb-y set of drums creating a pace that previously wasn’t there.
As soon as the music was placed under the moody VO and high-energy sound design, it all came together and really completed the film!

We’re proud to be part of 1% for the Planet, whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual revenue to environmental causes.
Our job involves a fair bit of overseas travel, and we wanted to use our membership to lessen our carbon footprint. Given this, we’ve chosen to donate to The Woodland Trust, who are tirelessly planting trees, bringing ancient woodlands back to life and protecting forests from decimation.
