MUSIC & SOUND DESIGN
A high-energy piece by director Josh Cohen for Guinness, aimed at bringing the excitement of the Six Nations into your living room.
Drummer Sam Johnson immediately came to mind, with a fast-paced drum solo inspired by Yussef Dayes. The fluidity of the drumming allowed for quick bursts of intense fills, followed by breaks to let the film breathe at just the right moments.
Sound design needed to be full and rich for this one. With no audio recorded on set, we created banks of soundscapes to accommodate for the atmosphere of each scene – powerful sounding rugby tackles, kicks, catches and tries – and playfully emphasised the hero couple’s actions as they prepare for the big game.
