MUSIC & SOUND DESIGN
Scored specifically for the project, the music’s goal was to set the tension of the film and build drama up to the final reveal of the pit-crew.
This was inspired by Philippe Tempelman’s ‘Stadium’, a film well worth checking out, in addition to taking reference from Dusky’s epic single ‘Ingrid Is A Hybrid’.
The music slowly increases in tempo, gaining energy by adding more rhythmic notes as the film progresses, all of which tie into actions shown in our subject’s training routine. Sound design also adds tension to the music by bringing an repetitive alarm sound and metallic dumbbell hits into the rhythm of the music.
‘First Light’ is available to license on our library.
