Music and some subtle sound design for the Brother Film produced film, directed by James Arden.

The soundtrack is an adapted version of our track ‘One Step Back’ originally written for the documentary ‘Chasing Tokyo’ in 2022. Sections were extended and condensed to give the right flow and pacing to the film. With the emotion of the film being so important, we let chords linger and fall when needed.

Voices are effected at certain moments with a number of reads overlapping one another to highlight the importance of breaking misunderstandings of Suicide bereavement.

Sound design is sparse but considered, with each environment being recreated from our studio as well as subtle footsteps, leaves rustling in the breeze and the gentle pant of Lesley’s dog.
