MUSIC & SOUND DESIGN
Directed by Josh Cohen, this set of 30 second ads for eBay were lots of fun to create.
Sound design was the focus, creating a suite of mechanical, DIY sounds that take the films beyond the home-garages that they’re set in. The voiceover (recorded at Brother’s studio) elevates the playfulness of the ads further, with over-the-top shouting, whispering and cheeky comments thrown in to break the 4th wall.
Music wanted to sit back in the overall mix, providing an upbeat rhythm that drives the films forward but also instrumented in a way that exaggerates the OTT style of the films.
