Music and sound design for ‘LOST WITHOUT YOU’, a short film by director duo, Gosh Damn.

The sound design for this film wanted to be a slightly heightened version of reality to exaggerate the silliness of the situation.

Floorboards are extra squeaky, footsteps are extra clunky and every head turn, arm movement and slight turn of the body is emphasised with the rustle of clothing.

Music had some back and forth to land on a style, but the Latin American, bossa nova style guitar and drums fit perfectly.

We repeated the same musical phrase throughout the film but gradually increased the tempo to increase the panic of our protagonist, adding layers of percussion, vocal yells and organ up until the reveal moment of the film.
