MUSIC & SOUND DESIGN
A step outside our usual musical style, the Here’s To Love campaign lended itself to an emotive, cinematic score utilising soft piano and sweeping flurries of strings. Directed by Harry Hitchens, the film was to be a visualisation of the excitement that comes from meeting that special someone.
Taking inspiration from Tom Rosenthal’s ‘Cos Love’, the track would build from the leads’ first meeting, adding instrumental elements and harmonic progression as their love develops, all the way up to the climactic moment when they’re arm in arm.
Sound design was to be very natural, recreating the environments of the scenes and adding a sense of joyous energy through the group of friends’ chatter and laughter. Environmental soundbeds of a busy table at a dinner party, a bustling London restaurant kitchen, a bird-song drenched park and peaceful lake added to the texture of the film’s sound and subtle accented moments highlighting the couple’s excitement at meeting each other emphasised the emotion carried throughout the film.
