MUSIC & SOUND DESIGN
1 of 2 films for the charity, Crisis, highlighting some stories of homelessness in the UK.
This is one of our favourite compositional projects to date, scoring a rollercoaster story of happiness, helplessness and resolution. It was important for the music to give space for the story so music is sparse, organic in instrumentation and full of feeling. The arrangement of music follows the story closely, falling off to negative keys when our character hits hardships and introducing optimism when they discover the aid of Crisis.
Sound design takes a very natural approach, recreating the sonic environments we see on screen and introducing slight stylistic moments – camera shutters, whooshes of scene changes etc.
