This project for director Josh Cohen was a lot of fun to piece together.
With no audio recorded on location for the shoot, the task of piecing together a full music and SFX soundscape was set!
The music, inspired by Elf Kid’s ‘Golden Boy’ had to bring heaps of energy to the piece with a driving, sampled beat and uplifting Brass. The 135bpm track keeps the pace running while cuts in the music at key points create much needed breaks to the energy before jumping right back in.
The sound design was constructed to appear as real to the image as possible but with accented moments to emphasise the goals and moments of impact throughout. Using multiple layers of sound, from crowd and city atmospheres to hard-hitting football kicks and constant human reaction samples, the resulting soundscape is crammed full, adding to that overall energy!
‘High Intensity’ is now available on the library.
