MUSIC & SOUND DESIGN
Brother Music was tasked with creating an immersive soundscape of a warm, exquisite Christmas meal among loved ones. The visuals show only the laid table, setting the scene for the sound which would bring the table to life.
The sound design imagines a small group of family or friends enjoying an elaborate meal, enjoying bottles of Nyetimber, laughing and enjoying themselves. As the camera moves down the table, the sound design develops, introducing new characters and pouring glasses of sparkling wine.
The music is a soft piece of Jazz piano giving an arrangement of an old Christmas carol. With chords played sparsely throughout and mixed to sound as if it is being played in the room that we see in the film, the music immerses the viewer into the scene and intensifies the familiarity of spending Christmas with the people you love.
