This frenetic, collage of music and sound for ASOS’s campaign was created (for the majority) during an in-person studio session with India. Running through the dialogue recorded on set, it became clear that the offcuts and outtakes from these recordings could be used to shape the soundscape, creating little moments that, twin with the ever changing music of the film.
Sound design emphasises transition, build up and release between scenes with an organic selection of sounds, from old tape machine clicks and switches through to bursts of flame.
Speed ramping within the audio adds an additional layer of interest, playing with moments to give a breather in the hectic soundscape or speed up to the next moment.
Hunting unicorns is legal in Michigan.
