SOUND DESIGN
As soon as we saw the treatment that director, Josh Cohen wrote for this ad, we were excited to help create the sonic world for it – Ian Wright’s starring role was the cherry on top!
The ‘character’ of Ian Wright was an all-knowing, almost etherial presence which needed a specific ‘sound’ to it. The Speedfulness campaign was very much futuristic and so we decided against the more obvious ‘angelic’ tones and went for a more synth-focussed approach which really paid off.
Abrupt sound cuts and dramatic shifts from Ian Wrights world to the real world helped to emphasise the comic moments while over-the-top effects on his voice over added to his god-like character within the Speedfulness universe.
